This weekend I was pretty sick with a soar throat and did not want to do anything, but God willing, I was able to hang with the best of them on Monday for the BBQ for Memorial Day. We went out and played on the river again and it was such a fun day! After most everyone had left (there was dosh, pappy, mel, shawn, shane, chey, jaiden, jade, lauren, theresa, me, brian, mary, marys child?, doshys mom, brother joey-our preacher- and his wife donna, brian-staceys husband, and larry) I talked Brian and Shawn into playing the wii with me. For those of you who haven't played this game, let me explain. There is a board that you stand on and it can read your weight and balance and any movement. You also hold a controller but thats just to choose options on the screen (it has a motion sensor too but only for certain games). So there is a game where you can hula hoop and Brian and I were having a contest to see who could get the most spins. Plus while you're spinning, you have to lean to each side and catch hula hoops that are being thrown at you. So, without Brian knowing.........I got a pic of him doing this lol...shhhh don't tell!
O and I wanted to tell everyone that I almost got eaten by an aligator...just kidding, Lauren and I were playing on a wave runner and we were sitting around waiting for Brian and a wave hit us and rolled the whole jet ski over and we couldn't get it flipped back over so Shawn had to come flip it for us cuz we were in the middle of the river! It wasn't scary getting tipped over, it was scary just floating in the middle of the river without knowing what could be underneath us in the water. Also, to add to this excitement, Brian was riding on a wave runner and it broke down, so he kept floating down the river and we had to go find him and towe him back!
Another cool thing that happend Monday, Brian and I saw a manatee for the first time! It was so amazing! It looked like an elephant swimming(only it doesn't have a long nose!)...I tried to get my camera but I didn't make it back in time. Brother Joey said that they loved fresh water from a hose so we got the hose and hung it off the dock and the manatee came up to it and put the hose right in its mouth and drank from it for a long time! What an awsome animal!
